About Us
Ember & Oak Roastery began as a quiet experiment in a converted barn, where the founders set out to understand coffee not as a commodity but as a craft. Every batch we roast is small, deliberate, and shaped by years of listening to the bean — its origin, its moisture, its mood on any given day. We believe that great coffee is not rushed. It is coaxed into being through careful heat, careful timing, and a deep respect for the farmers who grow it. Our roastery sits at the edge of town, surrounded by old oak trees that lend their name and their shade to the work we do. We roast in small drum batches, tasting and adjusting as we go, because no two harvests are ever quite the same.
Thoughtful Sourcing
We work directly with small farms and cooperatives that prioritize soil health and fair labor. Each origin is chosen for its character, not just its yield.
Slow Roasting
Our roasts are developed gradually, allowing sugars to caramelize evenly and flavors to unfold with depth rather than bitterness or burn.
Seasonal Rotation
Our offerings shift with the harvest calendar, so the coffee you taste in spring is never quite the same as what we roast in autumn.
